North Star is pleased to announce a service provided by participating teachers which allows you to securely and privately check on your student's current progress in individual classes over the internet anytime that is convenient for you.

HOW IT WORKS
Participating teachers grade assignments and enter those grades into their computers. Using a special grade book program teachers then securely transfer that information to the internet for you to access using a name and a unique password.

HOW TO ACCESS THE PROGRESS REPORTS

Step 1.  You may access the progress reports by going to the North Star web site and selecting the Directory page. Or you may use this specific address: http://lns.lps.org/directory/

Step 2.  Scroll the page to find the teacher. (Teachers are listed by department.) Then click on the teacher's "Grades" link to see their Grade Reports page. (Please know that not all teachers are online yet.)

Step 3.  Once you are at the secure Grade Reports page you will need to: select the class, provide the last name of your student, and type in your password. Then click on the "View Report" button. That's it! The reports can be viewed or printed.

PASSWORD (Updated)
Your unique password is your student's technology password. (The same one used for LPS computer login, eDisk, ULocker, and Docushare.) A letter with their individual technology password was given to each student on the first day of school along with their planners and schedules. Please contact the school if you have trouble--(you may be asked to verify your ID).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The online grade reports system is private and secure. To see any report a person must know the teacher's name, the class, the last name, and know the password. Therefore it is very important that you not share your password with others. Please know that the online grade report system contains confidential student information. By using the parent features of the system, you are consenting to the release of all information in the online grade reports system on your student to any person who uses this account. In addition, you are assuming responsibility for the privacy of your account information and password.

YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US
If you would prefer to not have your student's grade reports available to you online we will honor that request if you tell us in writing.
