The Nebraska National Guard is presenting a Homeland Defense Award to Lincoln Public Schools.  The award is in recognition of LPS support for Nebraska National Guard members called to duty. Additionally, the award recognizes special support from Lincoln East and Lincoln North Star High Schools, for allowing the Guard to use their auditoriums for ceremonies. May 2006

Congratulations to the swimmers and divers who competed Jan 5th against Fremont. The girls came away with their first victory beating the lady tigers 105 to 100. The boys team won as well with a score of 138 to 71. The boys 200 free relay, Darryl Homewood, Ben Terry, Jeremy Zelt, and Ian Plummer, achieved an automatic state qualifying time. Other event winners were: Megan Schroeder, Darlene Boardman, Emily Burbach, Karissa Kruse, Angie Everley, Jeremy Zelt, Ben Terry, Andrew Castro, and Anthony Nguyen.1-6-06

Congratulations to the swimmers and divers for an outstanding performance December 21st against Southeast. The boys 400 freestyle relay, Jeremy Zelt, Justin Ratliff, Ben Terry, and Ian Plummer, achieved an automatic state qualifying time and a first place finish. Other event winners were: Leenie Boardman, Justin Ratliff, Karissa Kruse, Angie Everley, claire Maier, and Darryl Homewood. 12-22-05

Congratulations to all the swimmers and divers who competed in the Knight Invite. All three divers who competed, Emily Burbach, Travis Kelso, and Anthony Nguyen, earned a top 10 finish. The swimmers broke several school records, achieved nine secondary state qualifying times, and Jeremy Zelt achieved an automatic state qualifying time in the 100 back stroke and a fifth place overall finish. 12-20-05

Congratulations to the wrestlers for their performance:
At the Creighton Prep 9th grade tournament Jordan Spale finished in first place. At the Holdrege JV tournament Nick Lacher and Todd Wynne placed 3nd, Clyde Sanchez placed 2nd, and Austin Lenhoff and Luke Mattison placed first.At the Holdrege varsity tournament The Gators placed 5th as a team. They were led by Kevin Hagemann and Kyle Christensen who placed 4th, Jerald Parker placed 3rd, Josh Wilson who placed 2nd and JJ Robinson who placed 1st. 12-14-05
